This may seem small, but over time – this adds up quite significantly. It was also noted that while increasing metabolism, green tea did not increase the body’s core temperature – a very favourable result.

Choosing the right green tea products

When you’re trying to find the right green tea product for you, what are the things you should look out for to ensure that you are receiving the full potency of green? How do you ensure that you’re buying the good stuff, at the right strength?

Check the back of the bottle of diet pills or fat burning supplement and very often you’ll see “green tea extract” listed as one of the ingredients. This of course, is just as powerful as green tea itself and in some cases more concentrated. The active ingredients and powerful antioxidants in green tea (to be precise: EGCG catechins) are isolated using steam or water, then condensed before spray drying. This results in a much more powerful form, containing much more catechin antioxidants than you would be able to find in a cup of green tea.

When looking for the perfect green tea supplement to lose weight, ensure that it contains a minimum of 90% polyphenols and 55% EGCG, any less and you may not be receiving the correct dosage. Once you’re taking your pills and living a healthy lifestyle, you should be happily losing weight and feeling great in no time.
